Tonight, we decided after supper to get some Starbucks and drive around looking at lights. As we were driving by the Fantasy of Lights at Midwestern University, Abigail saw the display where Santa is sitting in a rocker soaking his feet in a bucket. Abigail said, "Look! Santa's getting baptized!" We cracked up laughing at that! Although she didn't have it exactly right, she knows that getting baptized involves water, I guess we need to explain it a bit more (we've "baptized" dolls in the bath, but I guess we need to do that again!)
On another note, we decorated our tree last night! I can never figure out the best time to get a tree. When I get it too early, it is dead before Christmas, but one year we waited too long, and had trouble finding one. Yesterday, was slim pickings, but we were able to find a beauty. Ornaments are something I collect for all the special events in my life, so I decided last night to take pictures "just in case"! I hope ya'll are enjoying the Christmas season as much as we are, and there is still so much too look forward to: the choir concert, the Christmas social, and we are going to San Antonio to spend some time with Billy's family. I'm so excited, I'm just a big kid!

We do the same thing. I collect a new ornament every year. But I have a place for every ornament on the tree. The kids want to help put them on I tried letting them this year, but I went and moved them around after they went to bed LOL. I can be so OCD sometimes. But they did not spread them out. I love Christmas!!!
I just love seeing all the different traditions! I love your stockings and the ornaments and what they represent!!!
I love your "tradition" and the ornaments! The tree looks very pretty. Abigail's view of Santa being "baptized" is cute. I just LOVE kids!
