Billy and I are celebrating our fifth anniversary on May 25. I can't believe that we have been married five years, time goes by so fast! We had the best wedding, I had so much fun planning it. We got married at the church where we met, First UPC, in San Antonio by Bro Timothy Wallace. He was such a great pastor, we miss him and Sister Wallace so much. We are blessed that Brother and Sister Elms are just as special! I love the people of God! During the ceremony, Billy caught the bow on his candle on fire while lighting the unity candle. It was pretty funny. Also, I was supposed to have three flower girls, but one was throwing up so we ended up with only two! The reception was at The Guenther House, a great restaurant and museum located in the King Williams area of the River Walk. If you ever visit San Antonio, the King Williams area of the river walk is my favorite. There are no tourists, it is so peaceful. Instead of being surrounded by restaurants and shops, it is surrounded by beautiful old homes. I used to go read and relax there all the time. It is also the perfect picnic spot! After the reception, we took a horse and carriage ride downtown to the Emily Morgan, a beautiful old hotel on Houston Street. The worst thing that happened was actually the day before the wedding. I had booked our rehearsal dinner at The Alamo Cafe (definitly a cool place to eat at in San Antonio) for the wrong day. I got used to booking everything on May 25, so instead of May 24, guess who booked the private room for May 25? There were quite a few tears, but my "Super" Mom worked it all out in the end. We have had a great time together, I'm glad God gave me such a wonderful husband!
